Annalea Bartels

Annalea is the Social Media Intern for the UC Davis CLEAR Center, where she helps manage and create content for digital platforms. 

As an Animal Science major with a minor in Communications, Annalea has found a passion in bridging the gap between science and communication. Before joining the CLEAR team, Annalea gained experience working in various veterinary clinics and the UC Davis Outreach Department, giving her a well-rounded perspective on animal health, human communication, and media. As she finishes up her final year at UC Davis, Annalea wants to take her experiences and skills into a career that will make the world a better place. 

Annalea believes that knowledge is power and in the digital world, everyone deserves access to it. She hopes to make an impact on scientists, students, and the general public by translating scientific information into approachable content that anyone can understand.

In her free time, Annalea loves to try new cafes, take yoga classes, or experiment with new recipes. When she's back home in San Diego, she loves going to the beach, seeing her family, and dusting off her old piano to make music.
