Bio
Dr. Embaby is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Clarity and Leadership for Environmental Awareness and Research (CLEAR) Center at UC Davis, where he focuses on sustainable livestock production and greenhouse gas mitigation strategies. His research centers on reducing emissions from ruminants through innovative feed additives and nutritional interventions.
 
Dr. Embaby earned his PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2024, investigating the effects of bromoform on enteric methane and rumen fermentation characteristics. He previously completed his M.Sc. in Animal Science from the same institution, along with a master’s degree in Geoinformation in Environmental Management from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece, and an international Diploma from Sorbonne university in Geographical information systems for development.
 
With nearly a decade of research experience, Dr. Embaby has developed extensive expertise in Enteric methane emission, gas chromatography, in vitro fermentation techniques, and nutritional biochemistry. He has served as Co-Principal Investigator on multiple USDA NIFA grants focused on artificial intelligence applications in livestock management and precision agriculture.
 
Prior to his academic career, Dr. Embaby worked as a Research Assistant at Egypt's National Research Centre and as a Statistician at Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, where he also served as a Consultant on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics for the League of Arab States.
