Kevin Ulrich brings complex and nuanced research to life with compelling visuals and thoughtfully crafted stories.

Kevin started his journey with UC Davis in 2014 as a multimedia specialist for UC Davis Health, where he worked in various departments telling stories for the nationally ranked UC Davis Children’s Hospital as well as the MIND Institute. He graduated from the Art Institute of California with a B.S. in Digital Film and Video Production.

Following his graduation and background in writing and directing short films, his passion grew for documentary filmmaking. He says, “Documentary filmmaking is like putting a 10,000-piece puzzle together, it’s challenging, you don’t know where to start, but by the end you have a beautiful picture.”

Originally from the farm town of Woodand, California, he grew up running around on his friend’s family farms. Learning from the farming community has led to his devotion in bringing awareness to sustainability throughout agriculture.
